I have Pv700 from bevrc and happy with it
Much simpler to Rec my fpv flights, its light enough to fit in my top pocket with only one cable connected to my predator
So when I fly my quad fpv all I need for ground station is only goggle and pocket dvr

the little plane can't take anymore weyght, the video was recorded on ground while connected to 2.4ghz video reseiver, I edited the video so one can see lots of static and dynamic scenes - the recorder doesn't skip frames and can record static forever if set to recycle old files.

how did you get the dvr to record from the ccd camera. How did you hook the ccd camera into the dvr?

The DVR has AV-in 3.5mm plug, mid-ring is video and tip is +5v that I don't use cause my camera powered by 12v

till today I was using F20 as GS (videolink)recorder
couple hours ago flew the DVR and it appear to have color-hunting problem, sometimes too much green:

Fantastic discovery

I have been trying many different recording devices, none was really satisfactory.

I found this device: Gadmei USB TV Box, UTV332E

Link: http://www.gadmei.com/en/product.aspx?bigclassid=2

I found it in Pattaya Thailand, Tuckom for around 1000 Baht (30 USD)

Absolutely perfect !!!!

1) Installation of the software one click
2) Records in plain MPEG format
3) Records through noise, even if you switch off your receiver, keeps on recording
4) Bundled software extremely easy to use, no bugs or hick-ups (just need to set to PAL)

I made a recording with the on-board recording as overlay.

My setup: FPV Raptor 2m, video TX 400mW, Video RX diversity receiver from HK, PC Samsung notebook N120.

I'm sorry Pattaya01, but this is not a recording device but a tuning device.
If you need to lug along your laptop then it's not that attractive anymore.

But if you're happy with it then that's nice.

What's your point????
I think this threat is to share information about FPV recording, right? This device records, it has a video in, USB out, and yes, it also has TV tuning, so what???

It works like a charm, so I wanted to share this information. Are you the moderator?

Pattaya01, didn't want to upset you, my apologies.

As far as I can see this device doesn't record anything but converts a composite signal into a video stream for your laptop. It cannot be used without a laptop so therefore it's not very attractive for a lot of people. I think most people want something simple, reliable and preferably cheap, all of which a laptop (with Windows?) is not.

But like I said, if you're happy with it then there's nothing wrong. If you have a laptop already and the combo proves to be very reliable then that's perfectly fine. But if you don't own a laptop, I certainly wouldn't purchase one, but would go for an autonomous $100 - $200 recorder. Without doubt your video quality is very good. I guess only the more expensive recorders do reach that quality.

Concerning the live viewing, I wouldn't put any electronics between the vrx and the lcd-screen or goggles. For safety and also to prevent possible lag.

BriGuy82,

Thanks for the post on the DV02 from FoxtechFPV! It appears to be the same device as the BEVRC PV700 high quality digital video recorder.

They were down to 17 units so I ordered one. What cable are people using to plug between the DV02 and the Predator V2 goggles?

No problemo! I actually ordered one of these to go with it. I sent Foxtech an email asking about internals on that cable in case the 3.5mm jack was not compatible with my FatSharks, so it looks like he added a wiring diagram to the jack end in the picture, Also got a couple Female to Female adapters for my A/V cables in case the cables weren't compatible with my Dominators.

Sweet, thanks!

The two cables look like they will mate nicely.

The AV IN for DV02 is a 2.5mm 4-pin jack (left image)
The AV IN/OUT on the FatShark is a 3.5mm 4-pin jack (right image)
