Visalia Aerotow Nov. 20.21

We are flying this weekend, the half scale TG-2 will be there, and other large models as well.

Bill, the days are too short for you to come all this way, the only reason I am going is to drop off a model I have sold, and get a little towin' in. Make plans for the May event if possible, always the best weather and thermal conditions then.

Dennis,

May was too freaking hot!! We're thinking about going a bit north for the Los Banos soaring.. Haven't been there yet..
Read alot on it but I really need to try the Taborca and Cortina on that slope.. But things do change...
Currently we have a couple people interested in the aero-tow scene here in Albq. Maybe it'll build as time goes on. It has turned cooler here but have had some great weather during the day! Too bad I'm at work...

Have a great time. Btw did you ever find your canopy...... or mine??

Billy,
I've flown Los Banos many times, just go!
Of course the JR is only an 18 hour drive

Killer day at Visalia, it looked grim since it was 60 degrees with a crosswind, I launched my foamy Radian and could tell the air was really active, so my Schueler ASH-26 is the first to go on tow and sure enough, the air was jumping! Days like this are why the hobby is fun, amazing with such a low temp that the air had so much lift, I did have a pucker moment later when the model went invisible in a grey cloud!

Same condition at Los Banos, windy and cold. The lift(thermal) was phenomenal, the wind and thermal goes opposite direction! The slope was working too. Great day for all who showed up, but it was COLD.

Differential heating is differential heating, no matter what the temps are!

Hey remember, we are Californians, the land of sandals and T-shirts year-round, so for us it was pretty cold!

Guys, Brian and I wanted to say thanks for having us out to see some very cool models. I took a few pictures when we were looking around. I wish we could have stayed longer and Brian wished he would have brought a jacket

We will have to get back out a see the 1/2 scale the next time it may be flying.

Fun Fun,
