I received my $29 one Friday and it was one of these. Must have been a mistake or they were out of the plastic ones. I'm not complaining

As far as I can tell it is all metal aside from the ball links, appears to be the same kit as the HK450MT. I looked at my box and it says HK450, not MT. I even bought the extra metal head and tail, oh well, spare parts. This is my first 450 size heli, flown micros before and been practicing on FSM alot.

Interesting to know for sure. HK only lists 3mm feathering shafts for it in the parts section.

waqa, please help to check this few parts are metal or plastic:

1. tail boom clamp
2. main shaft bearing holding block
3. tail pulley (at the frame section)

yep to all three. everything is dark anodized aluminum. Light scratches from tooling show shiny metal underneath anodized coating. I'm 100% sure this is a HK450MT kit.

Good stuff.
Did it came with FG or CF blades? Because the FG ones are dangerous to say the least. I almost got a blade between the eyes from a buddy's stock hk-450 (2800RPM).

Shazbot. I received mine two weeks ago, and it came stock plastic (with a head block that wobbles ~1mm of center). I can't believe that I was actually too early for a good deal this time! Oh well, I have the metal head coming and bought the metal tail with the kit. As soon as the tail servo and gyro get here, I'll be able to start setting her up fully, and then the major damage can begin!

Here are the blades I got with my $29 dollar all metal HK 450 They are glass and not CF They look pretty well made and I just weighed them. One came in at 32.7 grams the other at 32.4 grams not to bad for the price. Mongo 56 I will take your advice and wind it up for the first time at a good distance and are these the same blades that attacked you. Jack.

64 units left and counting.
by the way, from a price point perspective
HK500GT > HK250GT > HK450MT
$70 > $58 > $47
2.2kg > 480g > 980g

any time i'll buy the 450 than 250.
if tonight after 8 hours i wake up still have stock left, i'm going to order one...
