This is getting really confusing now. I was referring to the post in this forum made by yourself.

LOL not to worry though Capt E sounds like were both totally confused!

I have some Spitfire and Hurricane books for sale. They are duplicates in my collection so I'm letting them go. Link to sale thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...9#post16829213

CMP Spitfire .....ARF?

I'm nearly done in... but thought I'd post some pics The painting was a whole lot of work, especially the roundels, but worth it - it needs some touch up and a repair to the elevator now due to clumsy handling while painting. Cannons (removable) will be added and a gunsight. I thought I try and maiden her first but I'm not sure when that may be yet but hopefully not too long.

Oh man, nice paint work, those soft lines are gorgeous.

You never see that on ARF's, either the camouflage lines are perfectly sharp or way too sloppy, either way it messes up the scale appearance.

Are you going to go nuts and do panel lines and such on it, or keep it clean?

Nice work.

Here's some more detailed photos The bottom wing roundels will be added sometime soon...lots oftouch upand one repair to the elevator remain plus a few more details qre being considered following the maiden.

Some of you may like to take a look at the other mods and put them to use on your Spitties or other apps...I'm no scale authority but enjoy adding details like this and will be happy to answer any questions if I can. Whenever it's considered finished I plan on posting a list of all the mods that were added and maybe a video. Dick

Capt,

That is some SICK DETAIL! I never would have thought to go that far with a model this small, but you've really done at that small scale something that a large scale builder can admire. Amazing work.

I'm looking forward to some video! If you fly half as good as you build, it should be a GOOD show.

UK - The exhaust stacks are stock except for being hollowed out and custom painted. I'm waiting to add the external details after I'm sure they won't get damaged during the final process.

Scale details are a great satisfaction and joy for me and the challenge of scratch building some of the stufff from what I discover lying around is huge great fun.

WOC - As far as the flying goes, well, I've only been at it about 18 months. I like to practice the art of gracefull acro, takeoffs and landings as much as my self discipline allows depending on wind conditions. So we'll see. I plan on having as much moral support as possible I can tell you that. The Haikong Spit has yet to fly too (intentionally) due to the continual gusty winds.
I still have a couple other projects including the Windrider SBD Dauntless and just bought an E-flite P-51B which I'm really looking forward to. You guys might check it out if you haven't already - lots of thought went into it. It's not perfect but I really appreciate the work that's gone into it. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...8#post16853509

Amazing stuff Capt.. some of the best scale detailing i've seen!

In fact... if you didn't label that cockpit as the 'real' spit cockpit, I wouldn't have noticed..
