A Modified Helicopter to fly as a Tricopter using existing technologies would be the correct description. LOL

I think this thread is degenerating into an ego massaging exercise of untested and unproven ideas.
Bob has presented a well researched and flight proven workable tricopter which is a basic unit that if built as presented will work.

When you ideas men with no proven design or practical experience have flight proven your designs, come back and tell us about them.

A good start would be to start your own threads and stop hijacking this very constructive one.

I have seen this mentality displayed in manufacturing here and serves as a PERFECT example of why the United States have fallen in its productivity and world leadership in innovation.

Bob's presentation is a tribute to the spirit of US excellence.
So what's your beef?

I strongly agree that Bob's presentation is a Tribute to the Spirit of all people's willingness to create, so is mine to advance upon Bob's achievement.

Hijacking this thread is your opinion and is SUBJECTIVE. I strongly DISAGREE with your OPINION.

With all due respects, why don't we just leave this thread to its original concept of "Build a Tricopter" which was presented as a "Build Log".
If you have other ideas please submit them separately as such.
I will not continue to contribute to off topic waffle.

Let me introduce you gentlemen to a new concept.
Its called PM! You can both banter back and forth and we don't have to see it.
If you have something to offer that will move the subject forward we would like to see it. If not please use the PM for your private discussion.

On a brighter note I have several boxes in transit from Hong Kong that are due soon. A dealer formally known as Hobby King now known as Tricopter Supply.

In the mean time, back at the ranch, the Loan Arranger and Tonto are patiently waiting for their order to get out of Customs. If it doesn't get out if Customs today I won't get it before the weekend.

Sigh!
