the Edge is a slightly more aggressive tumbler, which is saying a lot as the Extra EXP will really wind itself up. Of course the straight leading edge of the Edge wing gives it the classic stability in high alpha flight that Edges are known for. Very solid high alpha knife edge performance and great tracking and lines in precision maneuvers.

Man those Edge's look Sweet!! Is the elevator like the Extra? I love that 80'+ on the Extra!

So when can we pre-order? Also...what motor are you using and are the servo cut-outs designed for the HS-65MG's?

Looks awesome. no to hijack this tread but Chris could you maybe tease us with wat are some planes in 48'' and 58'' you have planed for us?

glad to see more of this size range airplanes out their now in this size so if i put one in the ground i can try something else with the satisfaction of knowing I'm not stuck to just one style of airframe.

I have been salivating after the extra (maybe Christmas?) but now see this. Would you be willing to give a little more in depth description of the strengths an weaknesses of these two ships. Unfortunately I can only swing one of them at this time, and would like to get the one that sounds the best for my style.

BTW, I have a PA extra 260 and the GP 50" electric edge 540T. Both have strengths and weakness but neither suit me to a "T" as they say. The extra is not so stable in high alfa or hover and does not track well. The edge is stable in high alfa and KE and pretty good hover, but rolling harriers are big dissapointment.

Any info will be greatly appreciated

HS-65MGs all around, plenty of room for 14x7 prop.

Honestly dead, I would choose the airplane that appeals to you the most visually. They are both equally capable of anything you can throw at them. They are both very stable in upright and inverted harriers, basically coupling free in knife edge, tumble well and due to the long fuselage they track very well. Both also knife edge spin very well, rotating very fast around the wing tube. Wing area and loading is just right to give a "floaty" feel while still allowing crisp snap maneuvers. I feel you would be happy with either choice, so get the one that looks the coolest to you.
