took some better pics and showed the turret with a little mod on it which helps it big time!!

i must fix the time stamp on the camera too!!

Moving right along!!
5 x 4.5" turrets done and started the rangefinder.
taking shape and alot of cleaning and scraping to do.

warmig up here now, so get the hull finished hopefully in the next few weeks!

A few pics to give a different aspect to it!!
Great News, Brother in law out in Oregon is turning me six 15inch Barrels, so his visit turned out good for me!!...
Turret floors are Aluminium recycled from Dell laptops screen covers.

Looking good mate!! I like the statement " a day of sanding then get primer on her!" LMAO!! more like a week of sanding!! (till your happy with surface!)

Ha Ha I was being positive! Unless you manage to get about 12 hours straight sanding done at once it will take some time mate. (I think LB's bow section took me about 4 days (2-3 hours at a time).
Are you just doing one layer of goo? I would sand her then chuck a layer of Flocoat (its a white F/glass with more wax in it and sands like auto filler) much easier 2 sand (clogs the paper less)
Going 2 look cool with some colour on her!!

Was going to sand it then one more thin coat of resin, then no doubt sand again!!
going to weigh it today, wish i had built her in 2 like LB!!!

Heavycruiser was quite right with the sanding timescale!!!
Spent all day on just the one side!

Gave it a coat of primer to give me an idea on how it looks, still some blemishes that need a bit of filler here and there, but looking ok i think.

Looking good, sir! That's nothing that some lithoplate or heavy card stock won't cover as hull plating.
