Old School - Original Lama XRB - Battery

Guys - haven't posted on here in a long time!! Dusted off my original Lama Sky Robo XRB SR- and found out I'm getting about 30 seconds flying time on the battery. Anyone know of a cheap replacement? Seems like retail is about $47 - looking for other options. I did buy a battery (homemade) off someone off this site years ago. Thanks in advance.

Hi
Can you post a picture of the battery? Preferably with a ruler next to it so we can get an idea of the size.

Nice to see a fellow Windy City guy here.

I'm sure once you find how many cells and how many mah the battery is, you'll find something there for around 5 dollars + shipping. Just buy a good quantity of batteries to make the shipping worth while.

EDIT: Looked at the manual for the Lama and it is a 7.4-volt, 720 mAh lipo. Those are DIRT cheap at Hobby City. Just click on lipo batteries on the side when you goto their page and then click on Turnigy. Look for a 2S 600-800mah lipo. Probably cost between $3-$7 a piece.

If I'm not mistaken, the XRB Lama uses the same battery connection as the SRB Quark. I use Rhinos from Hobby City. But, you will need a Molex to JST adapter to connect the battery to your heli. Any cheap ESky or Walkera 2 cell, balancing charger will work.
