Yep it was sure a nice one!!! We had a blast once again. You guys are lucky to have such a great slope that is relatively close. Dan and I just got home. It was great to see you and fly such an awesome day. Nothing big, just nice smooth lift all day and with some sun to boot. Thanks!!

That was a great day! We drove down in almost freezing fog. When we turned off I-5 a magic hole opened over Peterson's and it just got better from there.

Sorry we didn't give you a heads up Vic, we were waffling right up to the last minute.

How's old man Scott Wheeler? If you see him around, please tell him hello from us. Tell him my dad's still kickin' too... the two of them fought eachother in Italy (Linea Gotica) in late 1944. Of course, they didn't know it until they happened to meet 60 years later at Peterson Butte.

Your sign has seen better days but is still there , the freq box is missing most of the clips though.
All we do now is walk up to the slope and yell out "Anybody on 2.4" ??? and throw the plane out.....ha ha ha.
(Very few planes still on 72mhz)

interesting story about your dad, small world isnt it? amazing they could look back on it and not be angry at each other. Those were tough times for sure.
