First day on the Butte was wonderful. We were greeted by steady wind and bearable temps. It rained on the way down from Portland but stopped just as we arrived on top of the hill. As usual I laughed the whole way down listening to Doc's humor. Not a bad bunch to hang out with on a Sunday

The SRTL finally got some fresh air. Last few trips to the Tri-Slopes it was staring at me with sad eyes... "Can I go...Can I go... Can I boss?!" The air was on the lighter end of the spectrum but the SRTL really ripped it up. Jeez Louise...What a plane!! So grooovy. Great energy retention. I'm in l.... Dieter thank you for the setup help. Just a few clicks of down and she flew perfectly. Very, very happy. Funny, when you look at the specs on this plane it looks like any other... but it certainly doesn't fly like all the rest. Looking forward to getting lots more time on it this season at the Butte.

I gotta say, I have never been a fan of those big expensive molded planes but Vic handed me the TX of the SRTL and wow, now I can see why everyone likes them so much. That thing hauled A$$. For as light as the wind was that plane amazed me. So smooth and predictable. I had a hard time giving it back to Vic, I could have flown it for hours.

Great plane Vic, thanks for the stick time on it.

I got to maiden my Raven which is also an awesome, it flew really well right up till the last launch when the nose cone flew off and the plane came back to earth in two pieces. Only sustained light damage that is almost repaired already.

Also maidened my Stinger45. What a hoot. That thing rocks too. very quick lots of fun. Should have let Vic take close ups but I knew if it crashed on the maiden launch I would never hear the end of it..... ha ha ha

thanks for the good day guys

Ceres yes. Sorry. (Got so caught up with the SRTL stealing the show...) Got the rudder throws about sorted. At 106mm and neutral stab it wants gradually pull up out of a dive??! Being so close to 107mm I find this odd. Incidence is about -2 degrees which seems excessive but not sure what the spec is for this model. With the wing TE adjust it reduced the amount of down trim I needed, but also could be the difference in lift conditions between SDR v. Petersons. Alas, I tried to resist but did give it a few clicks of down and it improved tracking. Inverted the model flys with slight amount of forward stick. I'm going to edge the CG back to 107mm and see how the model feels. Days like today at Petersons are great for tuning a model .

Thank you Thomas. Now I know why you have 3 of them.... I believe you did take my Rotor avatar pic at SDR earlier this fall. I guess a big thanks is in order! Thanks!!

I hear a Canadian Slope Safari is in the early planning stages. I hope to see you down here and perhaps Peterson's Butte will be one of the stop off points. Take care.

Looks like you all had a great day at PB. Glad to see the pic of the frequency board and Vic actually using the channel 16 pin! I wish I could have been there. Hay Vic, is your SRTL OSU Beaver Orange?

I had fun sloping with you guys at PB.

Flew my newly-built NES "Victor" (old plane, finally built).
Flew my ASH-25.
And of course, my Zagi.

I look forward to the next trip to Peterson Butte!
