Is this a good speed gun to tack our EDF jet flyby speed?

Max speed looks to be 110 mph on the Bushnell. Most of the lower cost radar guns are used for sports.

My Nitroplanes Starfire might even peg the read out at that limit. LOL

On the website it wrote

# Baseball radar gun / SOFTBALL / TENNIS: 10-110 mph (90 feet away)/ 16-177 kph (27 meters away)
# AUTO RACING: 10-200 mph (1500+ feet away)/ 16-322 kph (457 meters away)

So, i am not sure if it will be max out 110mph on our EDF or 200mph? Anyone has this at home and used it on EDF?

Those bushnell guns have really poor range. The best lower cost gun is the Dectur Prospeed CR1k. You'll have a really hard time clocking planes with the bushnell. Especially small fast edfs. Probably won't pick up at all.

Ditto ZO6kal.
No. It will not pick up small fast jets. I have the yellow version. I would'nt even sell it used as a gun to pick up jets. It's not worth the $70 something. You have to spend some $$ for a decent one.
I have a Decatuer, Prospeed CR1K gun. I bought it for less than half price from a friend who is DS'ing at speeds in excess of 300 mph, and needed one that went higher.
DO NOT waste your money on the Busnell gun.
See the Prospeed gun in my blog. About 13 pics down.

Lim, If a good gun is is a problem. Just just download one of the FREE Doppler speed applications. Then you only need an audio recording device or a camcorder.

My Bushnell gun is marginal, don't know why it can pick up my Q 500 but not my friends.
Have not tried it on the Spark yet.

When my 24" WS, F-16 was doing 152, The Busnell would not even pick it up.
Radar guns need to be pointed as staight on as possible to the oncoming jet for the best accuracy. My jet's frontal area was about that of two baseballs doing 152. The Prospeed picked up that jet everytime, with multiple identical readings.
The Prospeed also comes with a tuning fork for speed verification.

Be sure to charge the batts the night before you want to use it. Don't store the batts in the gun, as the gun will draw some current even when "off"
It'll pick up those 150+mph Tiger Sharks every time.

Oh...wear some Moto-x gear
