Head Speed GL500

Hi Fellows,
I'm building a GL500, but I have some doubts regarding head speed. The manual shows that I can use 4S battery or 6S battery, but the manul doesn't say anything about the motor pinion.
As I can see, the main gear has 120 teeth and the motor pinion has 18 teeth, the motor has 1100 kv. In 6S configuration the head speed will be 3663 rpm. I think that a good headspeed for this heli is aroud 2400 rpm, I am correct?
In this particular case, 6S configuration, wath is the recommended motor pinion? Is something aroud 12 or 13 teeth?
Thanks in advance,
Leandro

I don’t have a GL 500 but if it’s like my Trex 500 2200-2400 is good for hovering and easy sport flying. For 3D you want 2700 and some go higher. I set my ICE governor for 2200 in normal mode, 2500 in Idle 1 and 2700 in Idle 2.

If that helicopter does not have a metal head then you may have to use a lot slower headspeed to keep from breaking the head.

Thanks for your explanation.
Just to clarify about this heli, the GL500 has the same dimensions of Trex 500, but some differences can be noticed in the drive belt transmission system, servos assembly mount and frame configuration. The main rotor is full metal, very strong and finished. I will post some photos when I have avaliable time.
Regards,
Leandro

Did it come with a motor and ESC or did you have to purchase them separately?
