I just put 5/16 dowel that is 1/2 in long works great

Looking for some feedback.....
I've been following this thread for about 18 months, sitting on the fence, trying to decide to do a tow project. Finally decided to do a uuber scale Porter powered by a JetCat SPT5.
Placed the order with icare, the kit arrived in about 10 days.
Now the problem.... I bought the super scale 3.34m kit. The 3.2m standard kit showed up. All attempts at email and phone contact have gone un-answered.
What do you all think about thier business practices?

Not unusual to have that happen. Had some trouble getting a hold of them at one point, turns out they were off for some Canadian holiday that lasted like a week. I can't see them NOT taking care of you. I don't have extensive dealings with them, but never felt they were being dodgy or shady. Keep us posted.

Got a short email message......They used the term "interesting" to describe the situation. Asked if I was sure it was the wrong kit. That was it.
No further exchange of information. Starting to get a bad feeling.....

Hi all!

I have bought a complete second hand setup of an electric powered 3,37 porter. With the former owners setup the center of gravity is at around 180mm from the leading edge!!!! The manual states 129mm. He's been towing with this setup.
Where is your cog located? I also think the plane is on the heavy side, at almost 37lb with 2x 5s 5000Mah batteries. Can I expect any STOL performance at this wingload? I'm surprised the plane is tailheavy with the Turnigy 80-80 up front.

I would appreciate some help before my first flight.

How many watts is that setup making? 10s5000 isn't very much. I ran 12s5000 in my smaller porter.

Have tested with 12s and ends up around 6400w and 37lb pull, so 10s should be no problem.
Former owner has been towing with a 10s setup.

Are you using lead batteries? with my DA85 I came in at 29 lbs. I have my CG right at the main spar and it handles and floates in great for a landing
