World War I fighter magazine “AIRPOWER” November 1995

Excellent condition. This 55-page magazine has 45 pages that are packed with loads of information on WWI aircraft. Peter M. Bowers authored the narrative using scores of pictures with detailed descriptions to expand on each aircraft design.

Within the pages are 3-view drawings, well done, but rather small in size approximating 2 ½ inches on a side. They do show wing and tail rip spacing and number, major support wiring, cockpit placement, and other details.

There are seven pages addressing two seater aircraft with 37 pictures.

Also included are detailed profile drawings of the Spads flown by Georges Guynemer.

Several colored photographs of full-scale restorations are also included. There is a very dramatic color centerfold artistic rendering of an attack on a German observation balloon by a pair of Sopwith F.1 camels.
