For Sale
DLG tail booms and wing cores

Cleaning the garage continues...

I have two sets of DLG wing cores for sale. These were cut by Laszlo Horvath (Les) at Compu-FoamCore. They are excellent cores cut very cleanly and accurately (<.005" tolerance). The cores are cut from High Load 60 blue foam and the airfoil is Dr. Drela's Super Gee II (http://www.charlesriverrc.org/articl...SuperGeeII.htm). Each set includes core for the wings as well as core for the tail set.

I flew a DLG with this airfoil and it was a dream to fly and that's when I got the desire to scratch build my own Super Gee II. Unfortunately with other projects, work, and kids, I never got a chance to build the wings...

I also have two tail booms for sale. These are the DLG (long Allegro boom) booms from tailboom.com. These are brand new as well.

Asking price:
For the cores is $60/set or $100 for both
For the booms $20 each or $35 for both - SOLD
1.0 (or 1.7) oz Kevlar 3.13 yards of 45" wide: $90

I also have enough 1.0oz Kevlar for building two complete Super Gee, make me an offer if you want the whole lot.

I live in the SF Bay area and can arrange to meet you local or can ship these (buyer pays real shipping cost).

I'm looking for a yard or two of that 1 oz kevlar myself, for a bagged wing Supra project.
How much for the kevlar alone, shipped to 90710??

Thank you.

Wow, I am completely overwhelmed! I had no idea these are so popular.

I am in an all day meeting today, I will go through the replies based on the timestamp tonight and reply. Ric had first dips on the booms and picked those up this morning.

Gary, are you still interested in the whole package without the booms?

I'm still interested in the Kevlar, so long as the price is in line.....
I have to buy some anyway, if I don't get it from you, I will have to buy it elsewhere.
I'll be offshore most of the day tomorrow, but still interested in the Kevlar though.

Thanks, Target

The kevlar is 113" long and 45" wide. It is missing a triangle piece in one corner about 10"x10" (see the attached picture). I did a quick search and it seems fair price for kevlar is about $40/yd. I am selling the kevlar piece for $110.

If it is 1oz kevlar, I'll take it at that price. I already have enough 1.7 oz Kevlar though, need the 1oz only if available. Thanks.

I can't guarantee it is 1.0 oz. I can't find the purchase order and/or receipt for when I bought it, but I recall I looked very hard to locate 1.0 oz. I can weight the whole thing and let you know how much it weights if that helps, but can't think of any other way of confirming this is a 1.0 oz.

Let me know what you want to do.

The whole thing weights 6.8oz.

Hi, Moe-

I will pass on the Kevlar, I believe it to be the 1.7oz stuff based on your weights.
Thanks very much for being honest. I would have been very disappointed if it was the heavier stuff and I thought I was getting 1oz.

Here's my math to support:
113" x 45" = 5085 sq inches, deduct the triangle (50 sq inches)=5035 sq inches.
Divide by (1296 sqare inches in a sq yard)= 3.88

6.8/3.88=

1.75oz/sq yard

Best Regards,
Target
