Bone Doc got me concerned when I saw he'd posted to the dead hobby shop thread earlier today.

Well this Saturday is a Fun Fly about 30-40 minutes away from me in Southern Indiana and I've heard a guy there has a 89" gas slick and I haven't seen one yet in person so I'm excited. I would love to have a 50cc but a 30cc one would be cheaper and easier to transport. But it might be harder for me to go smaller after I see an 89" one.

Ben & Scott - will this have the extended canopy hatch like the 70" Slick? I kind of doubt it since it seems like you're leaning towards the gas setup. Are there any plans for another 70ish plane with an extended hatch? It makes those battery changes so much nicer.

Extras don't have the same balancing requirements as Slicks.

Can't wait to start flying one . Do you think you'll have one at Grapevine or is it later than that?

Out of curiosity, will it be the same scheme as the 57" SC's or different?

Loving the blue/yellow. It would even be cool to have the transparent on the bottom. That seems to be all the rage on the little electrics, but I have never seen a larger one with it.

...which is why I don't start these threads. I try to concentrate on the planes that are available if possible.
