Ben,

Thanks, it sounds like its just a little bigger than the 70" Slick, will make a good choice for a replacement if I want to try something a little different. I would just have to bump up to a 12L from the 16S. How do the two planes compare?

Oh, they feel very different...hard to express in print. Ultimately, they have similar capabilities (extremely high) but get there from different avenues.

well I just joined the ranks of those with a pre-order. Had to replace my crashed Velox 68 with something! Figured this would fit the bill nicely. Probably should have just fixed the Velox, damage really wasn't bad, but these are so pretty... and I really like the way the 57" one flies, so I figured what the heck! The little one is yellow, my 72 will be red. I'm excited

Ben was kind enough to let me get a pull on one of these at SEFF this year and in the 3 minutes I had my hands on it I could tell that it was very different from my 70" Slick.

The thing that I really noticed was that knife edge performance was very different. The Extra just felt much more "locked in" especially going from normal to high beta knife edge. With the Slick it seems to start to wander a good bit when you go really high beta, but I didn't notice that quality with the Extra. Maybe Ben is just much better at knife edge mixing than I am.

You evidently do....

But yes, 24 years to be exact.... first season, was six episodes, in 1986, followed by eight more episodes..
