There are some notification issues right now. Rest assured, we are working of resolving these issues.

You should only be charged at time of shipment.

[Tex],

is there some way you can find out the paints and colors Gravity is using for these.

When you join the two fueslage 1/2's together, you generally end up with an ugly seam.

If we could sand, fill and touch up the paint, they would come out much nicer.

Thanks for your help!

Same colors as the Cox warbirds had.

You can't see the seam when it's airborne.

Don, when did you order yours?

I ordered 4 warbirds on 11/23 so I'm wondering if I have to wait for the second shipment.

The mod has been done on the COX planes. I would try to do a search for the older threads. There is a ton of info on them with mods and brushless upgrades.

I put my order in on Nov 23 or 24. There were a couple hiccups associating my (different) paypal email with my order email - not sure if/how that affected processing. Give it a couple more (working) days, I think they're still ironing out a couple bugs between China and Florida. From what I see, everyone's working hard to smooth out the startup process, incl. international orders/shipping, it's just going to require a bit of patience on our side to get these gems back in our hands.

Ailerons have certainly been done, I've done a Corsair way back near the beginning, and P-47's more recently.

The 2nd link is into the Cox micro warbirds thread, which is a great resource, with lots of ideas and configurations. Personally, for my flying preference I like to keep them around 4.5oz with close to 1:1 thrust/weight but I believe Joe's Atomics are heavier, and souped up more, and from what I've seen, they're a blast to fly as well.

They're great little birds, and at the current price, you can certainly experiment, which I strongly recommend, to get you something that is a really sweet flier.

A 70 year old design, paid for with tax payers dollars, and Lockheed still wants a share. I'm all for legitimate copywrite protections, but this is ridiculous. Some RC companies have taken to deliberately misspelling plane names to avoid this royalty BS.

Tex, I was hoping to hear from an actual customer that had received one, not the company rep. I've read this whole thread, not a single poster has received a plane yet, despite the first run being "sold out". Now maybe they're all in transit, but you can't blame me if I'm a little skeptical at this point.

Thanks for the replies, I'm new to micro electrics and I have a few more questions.

I'm looking for a configuration built for speed and not so much about run time.

What site sells the kind of motor that will give me a speedy plane?

What prop should I run?

Should I use a 2s or 3s lipo ?

I know there's a lot of info in the Cox thread but it's almost too much to read through just to find my answers.

thanks

If you go back to the Cox thread, go to the top of the page and find the search this thread link, put in "motor" or "power system", that should help narrow it down.
