No one has seen one in action so its hard to say. I'm not expecting that fan to achieve the posted numbers and there are a number of 70mm fans that push even more around the same amp consumption.

There would be no duct issues as there is no duct. the FSA of the intakes may match the 64mm but it may not perform well without a proper inlet duct.

To those who purchased the air frame kit: What brand/type servos did you use for your build? Links would be great. I was told these were good: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...aft_servo.html

that EDF unit AJ is actually 64mm..
I knwo it produces thrust but you need to have an exit of 55mm to get good performance

I got mine all put together last night and I've got it squared away with minimal issues. One question though - I want to relocate the battery to behind the canopy and I'm curious to know how the stock setup will work with a 2200mah 5S batt placed in the flat space between the battery/RX box and the cockpit. If it will work, does anything require modification? I've never liked the underside-located battery box thing, and it would be preferable to move this up front.

What's the general concensus on this jet as a whole? Is the new version with servoless retracts good, bad, or in between?

Silly question; does the F-35 have navigation lights? I have an exrta set and would like to use them on one of my planes.

likely because the F-35 doesn't really have much in the way of running lights. Wing tips. The probably figured why fish two lights thru a thin wing for something that won't be very visible if done to scale.

Are you going to have the wires on the bottom skin of the wing to run them?

I haven't finished mine. Mine was a kit build. I've been working on the PakFa T-50 and Euro lately. But for this one I've been adding scale; minus the lights. There is the duct that I've been fabricating and I've been waiting for a good light rotating gear and PZ just came out with a set so it will have the dual doors for the retracts with a RCBee sequencer.

Wing tube, LE flaps still have to be actuated. The Ordnance bays holds the batteries but are being reshaped externally to take the JDAM and AMRAAMs.
Clean up and top hinge the tailerons
So no no flights yet.

If you want to add lighting you could do LO lighting for the Rudder and intake lips. They went with green instead of the usual yellow. I think they make the light strips for models.

Ya I was going with the same tone but I may add a picture overlay in the lighter gray .... will see.
