Hacker Master ESC beep beep beep.....

replaced my Hacker Master 70 Opto with a new one due to crash damage.

the new one is a little different than the old one.

on power up with throttle on low I get

one beep - brake on

5 beeps - what do these mean ???????

than silence

it's not the 'timing mode' nor the 'frequency mode' as it's just 5 single beeps not those long sequences.

everything works ok but the old ESC didn't do this.

anybody know what the beeps mean ????????

thanks, Philip

I presume you've checked the instructions and not found anything about it?

The Jeti Advance controllers tell you which timing mode they're in if you let them sit there, armed, for a time, by using a beeping signal. Perhaps this feature has been added to the Masters.

just found out from my 'inside source' that it's a software upgrade.

the '5 beeps' confirm Timing Mode 1

I'll try changing the Timing Mode and hear if the 'beeps' are different

changed to Timing mode 2 and now I get 5 rounds of 2-beeps to confirm on power up

changed frequency mode but that doesn't change the beeps

The beeps after the initial single beep indicate the timing mode as pocket rocket noted. With a Hacker motor you want 5 beeps for the correct mode. The frequency mode has no effect on the startup beeps as you noted.
