Awesome! That's one of the best FPV videos I've seen. That was crazy when he went under that overpass lol I'd be too scared to do that!

thanks klique. The pilot is only half of the equation ... the Zephyr is an awesome platform for FPV.

rdbell: thanks I was pretty scared too ... the trick is to just make the dash and think about what could go wrong later

Un-freaking-believable. That is incredible stuff. Was I seeing the readouts on the screen right? Over 4 kilometers away at some times? Very cool. I am new to RC planes but that is some of the coolest stuff I have seen!

fly_boy99: Standard 35mhz/72mhz gear with improved antenna

Glad you liked it MusicManiac. You were reading the screen correctly. DST ist distance, ALT is altitude. Max alt was 2480m, max DST 4.2km

Yep I know you told me via email.

I think that's pretty insane you can get those ranges but more power to ya. Incredibly beautiful shots there.

Next swoop on the hills pick up some edelweiss.

Trappy,

What FPV gear are you using? Thinking about doing the same for some coastal flying.

thanx,

I personally like the one going under the sign on the road.

But wow I think Trappy should add GPS so once he does hit something it would be pretty easy to find. Although hitting a tree at the top of a range would be a to get to.
