Got mags...

I got quite a few American Modelers and Flying Models mags.
I just don't have a lot of time to do what you ask.
I'll try...I have a few days off at the end of the month.

Question? Can they be posted in PDF format in this forum without breaking any laws?
Do they need to be E-mailed only?

Daniel

Somebody has the copyright to those plans.
More than likely, somebody is still selling them too.

My take is: don't post full size plans, unless you have permission from whoever has the copyright. In very much reduced scale, or photos of the plans, is probably OK.

You're talking about a very large number of plans. I've only got a few years of Aeromodeller handy but that includes at least 20+ C/L plans.

Most of them I haven't spent the time scanning (I don't need to, I've got the originals ) so before I do can I ask what you're intending to do with all these plans ? For example you might be intending to make your fortune selling them as a collection . Or you might be intending to publish them all on a website to make them available free to everyone. One of those "projects" I'd perhaps be more interested in helping with than the other .

Absolutely not asking any one to brake any copyright laws

Hello Again to all

In referents to my original post for plan scans from any of the magazines named. if there even the slightest doubt fo copyright protection on any thing I have listed it should not be posted or copyed here or any place else. (again I'am absolutely not asking any one to brake any copyright laws) many of the publications listed are now out of business or bankrupt and many of the plans are public damian on the enternet dose any really know which one are still protected and which are not. my intrest in the old books come from my youth. alot of the old timers flying control line in my home town gave me copys most with no covers! thay quickly became my wish books and I always said I will build some of these old planes some day. at that time my wish list was more then my paper route could pay for. and guys had I known how rare and expensive thay would become I would have never let mom give them to the garbage man. dang-it mom! I got back into control line flying last year with the hope I would not get dizzzzzzzy? and fall on my butt. so after I made it through that it brought back a lot of fond memories and I got too thinking I'ed like to take a shot at building some of thouse neat planes from my old mags some 30 years later. so I started by asking right here on the forum. at 2 in the morning half a sleep not once even thinking about copyrights or legl litigations ooooooops.

You probably already knew this... but there's "new" old C/L plans available from several sources, if you want to pay a little for them.

Here's a few, in no particular order:

http://www.xlistplans.demon.co.uk/multieng.htm
http://www.the.elmores.btinternet.co.uk/telmore.html

I understand what you want to do. However, I know from experience that we cannot build all those airplanes we lusted after in our youth. Do you have some specific airplanes in mind? Stuka Stunt, Barry Baxter, and Tom Dixon have fairly extensive lists of old plans. The AMA also has a large number of plans available.

Thanks for all the help

THX. Guys

For the links and other info. I have found a source for most of the plans as well as some one in the the U.K. with a ton of Aeromodellers willing to scan (just takes $$$)

Slightly off topic...

Flystunt.com has a couple of full size PDF plans for modern stunt ships.
http://www.flystunt.com/AIRPLANE/Dr.%20Jekyll.htm
(I think it is the designer's site)

Some Spanish and Latin American organisations have a variety of downloadable plans on their sites:
http://www.vuelocircular.es/VCNplanos.htm
http://www.jpaeromodels.com/en/index.php
http://www.freewebs.com/voocircular1/plantas.htm
http://www.apuca.com.ar/

And for something a little faster...

http://www.microair.info/indexf2c.htm

edit:
ha, now I am flooding this thread. Some Eastern European and other stuff:
http://zborcircular.blogspot.com/search/label/F2B
(some of the links give you big zip files and I don't know what will open the files in those zips)
This looks pretty cool:

About 10 years ago the dummy in me threw away a pick up truck load of model mags from 60s and 70s.
If I wasn't getting old and stiff would kick my own self in da backside!!!

I did cut out and save some, mostly scale rubber power--go figure........

All the stunt plans----gone------

Wish I had them now!!

Thank you.

Sorry, no. http://zborcircular.blogspot.com/ gives me a redirect but it does not lead to an active website.

Yes that was what I ran into as well. I thought it odd that the GIF file still exists where it did when the message was originally posted but everything else is gone from that web directory!

Thank you.
