I took off all the origanal decals. Mixed results. I pulled slowly going back over the decal as I went. The fuse decals made the worst mess. The wings were mixed. One came off nicely, the other messy, but not as bad as the fuse.

It looks o.k. after the repaint with the exception of some of the spots where the little round decals were. Some of those locations can still be seen with the new paint job.

Thanks, P-51C! I kind of expected those results. I have taken decals off the EPS and I know it takes the finish off but a bit of paint sort of fixes it. The wings were my big worry. I don't care about the bottom as much as the top as you can imagine. Thanks again! By the way, let's have a photo while we're at it.

And RichF16... Doesn't that just look so much better than stock?! Honestly that just looks fantastic.

Yup. I are a smrt one. It is, of course completely awesome. Not like my memory or reading skills.

I flew mine last night. It's pretty zippy for indoors but would be much nicer with a programmable radio that goes with the receiver, which I don't have. It's tempting to buy something that would allow for some endpoint and expo adjustment but a $200.00 module for my radio to fly a little foam airplane seems excessive (to my wife).

Just cranking up the airbrush to colour a Dago Red. Decals peeled off fine without taking foam. Moved in the ail linkage for more throw while the top fuse was off. This will be the earlier Dago with the solid yellow and white trim stripe down the side. Pics later.

I did my P-51 up like Quicksilver, a P-51 survivor.

I'm not quite done with it, haven't decided if I ever will, I kinda like how it looks now!

I think it looks great too, Surfer! Here's my final kick at the cat. Found a paint job with a bit more style. This is a 442 Sqn. Mustang from just after the war. I used some press on silver vinyl to cover the mess that pulling off the decals from the fuse made. It is really thin stuff and about the same weight as the ones on there before. It matched the Tamiya paint I used to touch up the whole plane pretty well.

You know, someone needs to mass produce a nice clear canopy for these things...

Wow, how nice! Can you advise where you sourced the PSA silver vinyl?
