Theirs going to be a G5
just got my new tower hobbies magazine today and on the front page was the new G5 form RealFlight! Comes with 75 aircraft over 5,00 squar miles of TrueLifeTerrain. Comes with a new multiplayer mode were you can fly with 31 other piolets. probaly the best thing about G5 is you can now Dogfight!!! You can dogfight be cutting streamers, paintball, machineguns, and evan rockets with a targeting system. if your just want to fly around in the real life on board cameras are getting pretty popular so now on G5 you can place an on board camera anywere on the airplane evan in the cockpit.
I looked around on realflight.com and towerhobbies and they dont have anything about it but im sure if you look throughtout the week you'll find something. price wise its still $200 and with all the 1,2,3,4,5,and 6 expansion packs $372 still a little on the pricy side but worth it especially for beginers. hoped you like the mini review! |

I got an email today from Realflight about G5. I have 3.5 and have always been a bit pissed since shortly after I bought it they intro'd the new version and pretty much ditched 3.5.
Todays email indicated that G5 will offer a software upgrade for us 3.5 dudes to G5 which will work on our Interlink controllers for $79. |

discount pricing on g 4.5 ?
The stores will soon be selling the G4.5 at a large discount to get rid of their inventory because the G5 is the same price as the G4.5. Please post any places with discounts on the g4.5

If you are buying the upgrade disc, will it upgrade the graphics as well, from 3.5? this would mainly be the only reason i would get it. Thanks for any info and if there is a link to verify this please include. Murphy

at the toledo show this year, g3.5 was being sold for $99.95. i've had my 3.5 for a couple years now, along with add-on's 1-5 and expansion packs 1-4 along with a couple hundred downloaded planes (can never have to many planes to fly). was disappointed when i found out expansion packs 5 and 6 will not work with 3.5, so this upgrade g5 may be just what i need. doese anyone know, will the add-on's cd's work with g-5, or will i have to download them from realflight's website to work with g5

i'm happy with the 3.5 controller, that's why i did not purchase 4 or 4.5, did not want to spend that much more for a controller when i already had a good one to use. good to see that they are offering g5 to work with the 3.5 controler

tubamike,
O.K. you have a interlink Plus controller. What do you use to fly R/C with ??? You could use the ??? with the trainer cord and not even concern yourself about the "Elite" EDIT: Found this under NOTES FROM OUR TECH DEPARTMENT All RealFlight Expansion Packs are compatible with G5 None of the add-on discs are compatible with G5 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXYCX1&P=SM Last edited by Duckie62; Oct 23, 2009 at 04:12 PM. |
