Jon...great pics...is the gear door your mod or part of the assembly ???

EDIT....I have another question...with 10-9g servos...what type of BEC will handle that load ???

Do you think the gear will hold up to a grass runway?

all petes retract planes seem to be blitzrcworks, and all their planes ( SEEM ) to be good quality

if you see some of the revised videos, the problem with the retracts on it is, it has plastic gear servos which strip if you dont set the rates right for them!

it is a stupid idea to have plastic gears in servos on something lifting the wheels on a jet that big-much longer axles, and heavyer rubber wheels!

this plane should be just fine, provided it flys well!

and if the servos dont work, dont complain some tower hobby ones are only 5 each on ebay and they wont ever give u a problem!

Well, seems like a really nice model (my buddy showed me on his computer screen!)

Great pictures and scale look.

Jason, WOW! You are hooked!

Looks like a large clearing SALE I must resist and will do until I see Video plus I will force myself to complete another project!

Good luck on the sale

I was fortunate enough to get a chance to fly this model this morning, and I was thoroughly impressed. It was a total pussycat, I mean no issues whatsoever. Performance was not blistering by any means, but I actually prefer warbirds that have a very scale look in the air, and this really fit the bill. Lazy turns around the field and full throttle low passes down the runway were really a kick, and landings were a piece of cake. And the retracts (with working doors, no less) functioned without the slightest problem. Very nice job!

Thanks Neil!
Can you guesstimate the top speed? 45,55 etc.
I would just like to get a baseline! I also fly my planes at 1/2 throttle most of the time but i do like a low WOT pass a few times a battery!

Gosh, I'm terrible at estimating top speed, but I would say that it was "stately" as opposed to "quick." Maybe 40 mph or so? Maybe Jon can chime in here with an estimate. The video should give you an idea when Jon posts it.
