Thanks MadDawg.
Looks like I better stock up on servo extensions! Looks like a real job to wire this beast. I ordered a bunch of HK $5 metal gear servos for this plane 'cos didn't want to have to wire it again after only a few months due to servo failure. TxFlyBoy, that's a bummer that the engine mounts don't fit. Has that been the norm? I wonder if it's the mounts for the V2 engines? Are the V2 motors available for purchase? Inquiring minds want to know. Russ |

Russ, the wiring is a real mess!
All of those servo wires just about fill up the wings, and it's next to impossible to wire everything through the battery hatch or before you install the wings. I just cut an access hatch following some panel lines underneath the cockpit and that got me all the room I needed. You can't even tell it's there afterward if you do a decent job cutting along the panel lines. It really makes life a lot easier, especially when you glue everything together and there's no way to get back in there. I made a picture of it, but it's simple enough to figure out. If you'd like to see it, I posted it a while back so you can find it there or I'll re-post it for you. Have fun with the build! |

I got a pair of the Banana P-38's in the mail today and they are the green version 1's. The motors included are the smaller earlier units. The purchase is fine by me as spare parts for my J-Power version 2.......I'm ditching the landing gear so, any takers?......I actually have 5 sets of these things that I'll never use......I will sell them minus the tires......Cheap.....$12.00 shipped each set of 3.....Steve.....732-530-2061....N.J...

The $49 model is version one. The motors are version one with a larger bearing in the back. The supplied motor mounts do not fit the motor with the larger bearing and will have to be drilled. No wiring or electronics of any kind come with it. It does come with the original "black crap" retracts. Servo linkage is also included. What you get is the version one air frame with all the parts and pieces that go with it, motors, motor mounts (that have to be refitted), servo linkage, props, spinners, and back plates. The air frame, props, spinners, and motors make a good buy.
