wow, the F-104...how did those things ever fly? Or I guess the question is how do they slow down enough to land but not just drop with those tiny wings?!!

LOL. I'm so weak when it comes to Red. Now couple that with what looks like a missile and you know I'm tempted! Very nice Sammy.

Sure John rub it in! Go flying while it pours rain here in NY. I think Ill go organize the shop again. There must be some way to fit another model in there somewhere!

Tommy

i hear ya Jon. I am going out to enjoy the 5 mph winds and blue sky. 46 degrees out and I think it is going to be a good day. Hope you have fun and if you take more photos of the P-38 it wont break my heart.

Well it was a quick few flights. 46 degrees turns to 30 when the winds go from 5 to 10 mph. Wind picked up and I came home with frozen knuckles. It was fun though while I was at it.

Frozen knuckles...So true! The last few days my buddy and I have been flying in 30 degree weather...The winds have calmed so we can't pass it up and we don't fly with gloves so the torture we put ourselves through just to fly...As soon as we land, we're shoving our frozen fingers in our pockets as fast as we can...Then in a minute or less, the torture begins again!

I know what you mean Orion, although Jon and Merlin probably don't!

I managed to slip out this afternoon and got a maiden flight on an F-35 pusher prop job. Partly sunny, 32*F plus 5-8mph breeze made for some COLD fingers after a pleasing 7 minute flight--Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Well, we are "suffering" with a forecast high of only 60 degrees today. Dang it, I better take a fleecy with me.

OK, video is uploading now and the car is loaded up. Will link the vid here as soon as I get back from flying.

My wife bought me some fingerless gloves last year so I could continue to fly in the cold. It helps but the finger tips get numb after about 8 min of flying and the wind certainly wasn't helping. I think that if the wind was like it was this morning it would of been a lot more tolerable.

Enjoy your 60 degrees. Maybe one day I will get to move where that is the winter low.

Thank you so much for posting that Jon!

Looks to be just about as fast and the Eflight P-38. Man this should be hours of fun.
