What's next? 1:1 scale flight controls?

How do you launch your planes? ROG? Roof pops open, you toss...sit down and shut the roof? Catapult?

Well... I am in the middle of building a launching system for my Funjet (on order). Currently, i have a .46 size low wing trainer that I have converted to electric and it is ROG. I will post pics once it is complete.

Yeah one of the boxes is the 450 flight case and the other is a flight case from Maplins in the UK.

Thanks Robert. I've been looking at tracker systems too. For now I'm only flying a quad fpv so I don't get too far away.

Thanks,
Joe

I don't think he has any. But, Where did you get that foam in the top left corner? I've been looking for some egg carton foam like that, but have no idea where to buy it. Thanks! -Tyler

im sort of a newby myself but here goes. dont get googles get a small tv or something. and dont use pan and tilt. pan and tilt is delicate and you need to have some form of head tracker ect. so that cuts cost a little. hobbykings epp fpv is a good unit or so i hear. dont know if you want a plane with it though. hobby king has a good divercity unit someware in the fpv secton. and hobbykings transmitter combos are ok. some people say its junk though. i havent bought anything so good luck.

What is your goal?

How far do you have to fly?

What size plane do you want to use?

That equals to be about $1200 USD, you can do a lot with that.

mariya lets start you off on the right foot with this stuff

http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...roducts_id=417

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...hout_Foam.html

two of these to make the legs for the case http://www.districtelectronics.com/t..._store=default just remove the legs from the tripods to make the legs for the case. you must make the mounts for the legs to attach to the case from alum and you will need to make a X bar that holds the legs together half way down the legs like this guy V did in post 415

Nice ground station. The RC305 Vrx from HK runs on 5 or 12volts? Thanks.

Can you tell me what range you get out of the HK RC305 system and its quality please

@Flyingmcoy
I checked and these are the operating voltages of both the TX and RX units for you
Transmitter operating voltage: 7~15VDC / 150mA
Receiver operating voltage: 5VDC

It's the Range Video 5.8GHZ Receiver.
200MW TX, people have gotten 6KM I believe and the Receiver runs on 12v the TX runs on 3.3V
