Here are some pictures of my other FPV ground station, my FPV van. Its only purpose in life is to fly FPV, it has a 37 inch LCD TV, recording, long range RC as well as video antennas, and can be changed from 2.4 GHZ video to 900 MHZ in a couple minutes. This is the most comfortable way you will ever fly FPV Everyone said a 37 inch screen at three feet was way to big, until they flew it. The big screen is AWESOME, its like being inside the airplane.

Heres my small ground station. It has been added to recently and will continue to get quite a few more refinements but here it sits in working condition. I used an old damaged multimeter for a voltage display. The lipos for my ground station and my FPV aircraft are now stored in 2 closed compartments on the left side of the screen. The LCD is held to the case bottom with nylon straps, and my transmitter sits above the screen against the case top.
Once closed up the box can be tilted in any direction and everything remains firmly in place. This lets me grab my plane, and the FPV box and I have everything I need to fly for the day.

Curt

windsurfer not something you buy.... it's something you make.

Ha ha, ya.... RPM and Speedometer. The old car voltmeter was just laying around so I thought.... why not?

To hazard a guess... the GS weighs prolly 30-40lbs? not really sure...

This is a video explaining my Back Pack Ground Station, I made this as an experiment to see just how mobile I could make a GS. I also have a stationary GS but it is a bit boring.

My new ground station, I vote for comfort FPV over portability

I drop the easy* in my backyard, run inside, sit in my comfy leather recliner and fly looking at the 55 inch samsung LED tv

antennas/receivers/ thomas LRS antenna are outside

now all I need is a HD video link and something to record 7.1 audio on my plane

I'll take a couple pics of the whole installation later

Prat when I have it set up you can run it from your house (full internet), with either live video or DSL camera. Neighbour's window too close to see into and their old
