hehe, while back I got sucked in to that switch frenzy LOL.
now I have only two (could have one but my diversity is detachable so it hold its own switch)power for diversity and monitor.
Love this backpack set up as I can fit all I need in there, including RC radio , patch and Xhair antenna and have both hands free to carry a plane , quad or anything else :-)

This is awesome. I'm going to copy this with my harbor freight. Do you any more detailed pics of the inside wiring? And how did you attach the black panels to the case itself? Just with some long screws?

And what material is that black panel. Need to find some of that locally.
Wow, I had a long response to this yesterday and I guess I never posted it... now its gone!

Anyways, yes, I can get some more pics of the wiring, but I'm not sure how much it will help because of the mess. The panels are attached at the edges with wood blocks that are then attached to the sides of the box with screws. The panel material is called MDF (I think?) and can be found in smaller sheets at Lowe's/HD. I painted them with a few coats of black gloss spray paint.

An ultra-micro fpv project is not ultra-micro without an ultra-micro ground station is it?.

Bag contains:
-3s 2200 mah lipo safe in a lipo-bag.
-standard receiver delivered with my fpv-set: 5gr 5.8GHz camera set
-left hand circular polarized antenne, which does a great job: FPV systems & wireless video specialist, -= E-store Rotterdam =- Hughe & small r/c planes and helicopters. - E-Store 5.8Ghz dome Antenna
-All the necessary wiring to get to my fatshark goggles.

Pity that the frequenties on the fatshark receiver aren't compatible with my vtx, otherwise things would be even more compact

greetings

I'm a big fan of simplicity. Goggles, DX5e, vRX, antenna, DVR, batteries, and cables all in one box

So much easier than having to carry all that stuff, or even with it all on a tripod... just a hassle to bring in the car. Everything is protected well with this case + the foam, too!

Quick update patch antenna now installed, much better performance than the whip. Two options for patch angle: 45 degrees (flying higher) and around 80 degrees (lower flying).

Also have a video uploading about this ground station!

I'm looking at making a pelican or gun case fpv setup. However I have no clue....so the first think I would like to know is.... Does the Video monitor or electronics need to breath?? As in do I buy the nice pelican case for 250. or the cheaper Plano gun case for 150. and drill holes in it for ventilation!!

No, it will survive. Anyway, you usually have the case open when the electronics is powered, so all is well. Just don't forget to feed the DVR.
