Micro Rock Crawler RTR

The Micro Rock Crawler RTR is unlike any crawler youíve ever seen. First, itís the smallest crawler around. And second, itís the first Micro vehicle to have a radio system with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM technology. That means you can run it wherever you want without any interference. It also means you wonít need as many batteries.

Measuring under 6 inches, the Micro Rock Crawler can pretty much crawl anywhere. You can run it on the couch, over your keyboard, and almost any place outside. The 1/24 Micro Rock Crawler RTRóitís small in size and big on fun.

i was working on a brushless micro t that still needs alot of new parts as is built from left over looks like im skiping that and making this brushless. is there a converter i can use to turn the brush output to brushless?

No, there is no convertor that will allow you to connect a brushless motor to a brushed speed controller. Your only option is to buy a new brushless ESC (unless you already have one!).

The reason is that the output from a brushed ESC is just a DC voltage (actually if you wanted to be really accurate, it's a high frequency square wave whose pulse width varies with throttle position, but the motor and capacitors tend to smooth it into a practically constant voltage DC output...). A brushless ESC outputs a three-phase waveform from the three wires. The voltage in the wires is synchronised with the position of the motor's rotor, so the voltage in the wires is always being changed while the motor is spinning. The faster the motor spins, the faster the voltage in the wires has to change in order to keep up (i.e. the frequency of the output voltage increases). In a brushed motor the ESC simply supplies a constant voltage. All the voltage switching in sync with the rotor position is done by the commutator.

So basically unless you use some seriously complicated electronics like a VFD (variable frequency drive), you can't convert a brushed ESC's output to run a brushless motor. A real brushless ESC the easiest, cheapest and most reliable option

theres a convertor for the vapor brick that does that brush to brushless but thats for planes and i seen bunch for planes but never for cars. i have everything for brushless just want to keep the dsm option. also i assume that the mini lst2 dsm tx will work with this
