Hinge tape is most likely the cause of the failure; go with the fiber tape and you should not have any more problems.

Devin,
What kind of paint do you use? I've tried both Krylon Fusion and Krylon ShortCuts, both of which work great on Depron but when I spray foam-safe CA accelerator on the painted parts (even given a day to dry), the accelerator dissolves the paint. I have a Fancy Foam MX-2 that I bought already painted and accelerator has no affect on that paint whatsoever.

Hey Neil, we use Createx airbrush paint, not spray paint. We've tried the Tamiya spray paint and that works in a pinch, but it's hard to beat the airbrushing for nice finish and light weight!

Airfoiled EPP MX2!! 34"ish. Just about to start testing... but ready to go into production quickly. I don't expect to have to make any major changes, so it should be ready to go soon!

Futaba S3154's and a 3156 for control, and I have an A20-34S for it as well as a motor from Fancy Foam to try.

Back to building!

I've got it done and flying... 4 packs through so far tonight, they're back on charge now so hopefully I'll put 4 or 8 more flights on it later. It's flying great! There are a couple setup things I want to tweak and just a couple minor production changes, but I expect to release this plane for production some time this week.

No spades on the airfoiled EPP model. They don't lend themselves well to being made of the thicker EPP. They also aren't necessary for the pitch effects since it has an airfoiled wing, and knifeedge seems just fine without them on this model.
