Well, like posted above - sapac and art tech are both brands under the company shenzen, there might be small differences, like different linkages, or different color on the canopy - the one seat/two seat difference you talk about must also be cosmetic, as the shape of the canopy is the same. What one might say is that our pitts which incidentaly is not branded as a art tech - but a HOBBYCITY pitts, might be a slightly upgraded version of the one in the video. My whole point though is not splitting hairs, but saying that it seems like a very stable plane, and it is basicly the same one as we're getting... |

When looking at the box it's delivered in, or looking at the plane itself, the only marking on it is HOBBYCITY, so if face value is what you're after I'd prefer markings on a plane over initials in shopping cart. But of course you're right - it is the same plane that is sold under the art tech name. However it is pretty much the same also as the sapac one. My whole point of how it flied in that video seems to be discarded, and people prefer to discuss if it's the same plane or not. I have the plane in my flat, and I can say for sure that many parts are identical, but this is the end of that discussion for me... And by the way DAM* the wind that's blowing so hard outside ! Still waiting for good conditions for maiden flight... |

Shenzhen is not a company name, it's a city in China within which both Art Tech and Sapac are based. So no, they are not the same model, nor made by the same company. And there are many companies in China bearing the name Shenzhen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shenzhen |

Strange isn't it how long threads are written about this plane with both art tech and sapac in the title, but of course you know better :-) |

Sabrehawk knows what he's talking about, and I have both versions. I have the ArtTech made Christen Eagle, and also the red/white/blue Sapac Pitts--totally different planes with nothing interchangeable.
Do they look "similar?" Sure, they are both a Pitts model after all, but if you have both side by side you'll see all the differences... |

I flew the mess out of my P-51 Sunday. Took it to the big boy field and had a blast. Once evening set in I turned on the nav lights and continued to enjoy the evening while everyone else packed up their stuff.
I am definitely doing smoke on the Pitts when it gets here. That's going to be cool. |

Hi guys,
I´m going to receive this beautiful plane soon, I´m novice flying RC Planes, but i´m improving (AXN Floater first plane and it´s now dead). Maybe it´s not the appropiate plane for beginners, but I love the look, and the price is really a joke comparing the prices in Spain. Keep you posted of the first flight if I have the courage to take it to the flying field.... |

Well I got it home and there was a little broken part on the trailing of the lower wing. No biggie however there was not any instructions with the plane and I need to know where the CG is suppose to be. Also there looks to be some extra parts and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with these issues?
Thanks, Orion. |
