More aerial stuff from Nova Scotia
I got some shots from the historic Scottish heritage town of Pictou, about half way along the northern shore of Nova Scotia (about 60 km west of Bolter's residence).
The Tall ship in a couple of shots, is a reproduction of the Hector a ship which brought 285 people from Scotland to Nova Scotia. John |

Hey John O' ,when were you up to see Hector? Our division offices are a bit farther up the waterfront and I was paying a visit Friday morning. Your camera takes nice pictures

I have a prospector friend who owns the red, green roof and white houses in the lower left corner of the last picture and i had promised him some shots. I went up Thanksgiving Monday, but winds were 50KPH +. However after a great Thanksgiving meal and suitable imbibing and a good night's sleep, Tuesday morning was dull and overcast but winds were tolerable. Would have been nice to have had some sun. I have been to your office in Pictou and marvelled at the lobster breeding facility. I'm probably taking a field geological mapping trip to the Barney's River area in the next week or so (with Eyespy), maybe we can meet up. John |

Very beautiful pictures with nice colors, John!
What Lumix is it that you use? Pictou seems to be a nice place and sure has a lot of beautiful trees. Cheers, Norbert |

I am using the Lumix LX3 and am very happy with it.
The 24 mm wide angle lens is great for landscapes. It's not a lightweight at 9 ounces, but the Eyespy handles it without a problem. John |

Greetings Lee:
Happy memories of your visits her - longtime ago. Hope you are still actively flying. Was out in Manitoba on a winter drilling job. Your trees (in the FlinFlon area) were rather thin and spindly spruce. Bolter,- today was4-6 deg C with winds gusting to 39kph in Dartmouth. We made attempts to fly until 11am and adjourned. Did you make it to the Northumberland Fliers Fly-in in Trenton? I was a little disappointed in the colour development in Pictou and Trenton last week.Your shots in Antigonish are superb. John |
