You just need a bigger room.

Does logo 500 canopy fit nicely on the ksd550 frame? I read somewhere (can't remember where I read) that parts on kds550 and logo are interchangeable?

It is really touch and go for the KDS parts. They are really good at changing just enough so they don't get sued. The canopies are not changeable from what I can see (have not tried it)

like the tail. The shafts will work but you have to shave a bit off. They can be interchanged but only to someone who knows what they are doing. I say this because I don't want anyone to think the parts are plug and play.

You had the brass eyelets in on the wrong side just fyi. They go between the tab and the frame.

Thinking about building another HK-500 to have a cheap beater heli. Are the MG-930's still the best servo for the cyclics amond the cheaper servos? Wasn't sure if there was a new, somewhat standard pick for the HK-500.

HK has relabeled Henge servos in that size now too.

I've been using 28013MG's on cyclic on my fbl 500 since late last year and they've worked great. These have about 0.1 to 0.2mm of lateral play in the shaft, some people have fixed this but I didn't bother. I've seen other servos with this (including the Spektrum A5040's I bought) and it's too small to affect performance and not worth the risk of messing it up and damaging them.

And this on the rudder.

They also have a high voltage version for about $5 more.

I bought a set of the HK-752MG's today. The 732MG has been going well, so I though I would give the 752's a go on cyclic, to see how they perform. I'm going to put them on my 500EFL Pro, since it's fairly easy to change the cyclic servos. Getting the metal servo arms off will be the only challenge.

If they are as good as Henge says, they are great value at $14 (for the HK version). I also like that they are coreless and have a metal section in the lower case.

I'll start a thread about them once they arrive. Hopefully they don't get caught up in the Chinese new year.

Well an interesting turn of events. Seems like my second HB800 on the 500 isn't working correctly anymore. I tried a full reset to no avail. It's like the mems sensor for cyclic has a bad drift in all directions like the gain is set very low when in fact it is not. Its night and day compared to the first one I have that's flying well on the Tarot 450 pro. Oh well.

You've been using the 732MG for the tail?

Thanks,
Mike

My second one is doing the reverse. No mater which way I turn the pots the gain is way to high. Maybe they went with cheap pots on the second batch?
