The Align part is the way to go! I crashed my HK500 three times hard and once tail in at high speed and that align tail hub and grips survived 100% That is why I had no problems using them again when I got my 500e kit. Best of all it's cheap!

I use clear nail polish..No problems to date. ( and my fingers look awsome ) lol ...I used red one time.." one time" ...Getting bolts out required a soldering iron to break the seal.

On my Tarot 500 I can tighten all the screws in the tail and head without binding anywhere. If there is binding it means something somewhere is wrong.

I used those till I upgraded to the Align Trex 500 Pro tail grips. They were fine but if I was going to buy new tail grips I'd just get the Pro grips because they're only about $10 more. Also you can buy the hubs cheaper than the old ESP hubs. Align stopped making them when the discontinued the ESP tail grips so the clone makers raised their prices. A single Tarot hub costs about $5 compared to around $8 for a pack of 2 Pro tail hubs from Align.

The Pro grips have 2 radial bearings and a thrust bearing compared to one radial and one thrust bearing in the original ESP grips.

Has anyone ever shipped one of these already built? If so, what did that run you?

Yes it can be done, I have the GT and converted it to TT and vice versa when I want to.

What do you guys think this 500 is worth? Its an hk500cmt with the turnigy typhoon 500 motor, 4 turnigy tgy 930 servos, hk401b gyro, turnigy 85amp esc with 5amp sbec and a used but still performing 6s 3000mah 20c zippy lipo. Its NEVER been crashed, tracks straight and flies fantastic. Really looking to sell this and move to a 600n (shh dont tell anyone )

$200 market maybe (max). I dunno, it flys great I'm sure, but myself I would have to replace parts. $150 max for me if I was in the market.

To be honest, I wouldn't even try. Your going to get a fraction of it's real value around here, or anywhere else for that matter. Is $150-$200 going to be a make or break decision on whether you go to a 600 or not?

I have 9 helicopters now, Mcpx up to a 600, and couldn't recoup any meaningful money from any of them. I'd rather keep a "nice" flying helicopter, and fly it for years than give it away. Come up with some other way to fund your 600, and continue to enjoy your 500.

Well if it is all stock maybe $200 with the batteries. I sold mine mostly Align (All align tt tail) with all of what you listed minus the batteries for $159 and would you believe he tried to talk me into throwing in a pack

I agree with Muskoka1 , For what you will get out of it, Just best to enjoy flying it for what it is. That is unless it means nothing to you and you need the two bills for to go towards something specific.
