So my new premium Align DS415 pitch servo decided to rail out and stuck at the low end, dragging the arm on the main gear. Crash & blades, shaft, etc. Pff. Premium servos my Just junk. I think it is one of the wires being detached, (potentiometer) we'll see.

+1 dave....I wrote a small piece on the "new" align servos in my pin drop thread...I will not be buying them again..I think align really goofed on these servos...I bought a new align ds415m for my 450 pro..Servo would creep like hell And heli would jump around..I also tried a ds525 for a tail servo on my Align 500e..After completing a flight of light 3D ..That ds525 locked up a few times. ( very lucky this did not take place in flight ) ....Both are Like new garbage...Have now gone back to the original ds410m and ds520.
I thought it odd that these new align servos were cheaper then the originals.

God Dang it, I did buy these open box instead of getting the http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_SH0257...avsh0257mg.htm I thought I got a great deal!
How bad could Align servos be?

I'll just spend ANOTHER $100 for good MG servos. Smart shopper.

I did read some negative reviews here and there about the 415M, but I had them already...

I mean I'll go with http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...s-Cyclic-Servo

Sweeet. the cheap junk, I'm going to have to replace the 415s and replace them with something better. I have the Savox Ti gear servos in my 30cc, and they are the best servos I've ever used.

It is funny, the LHS I bought the servos from are gone as of last week. I think it is a sign.

No where to return them to anyway. HH would take them back somehow?

I would just replace the one eagle. It's hard to believe all three are bad. It does sound like you may of gotten taken, but maybe it was by someone that was having issues and you have id the servo that was giving them problems.

Ehh, no. But thanks for the reply.

The 415s are about as smooth as used gritty HS65 MGs, and have the outer appearance of $2 servos except for the premium looking nameplate. Seriously. Have you used these?

Unfortunately I bought both servos off of EBay..I suppose I could still ask the retailer for satisfaction..but with hobby parts or electronics it can be such a war to be fought I just don't care to bother with at times.....In a selfish way I'm glad to hear Dave had problems with the new servos as well..

What is the difference of 200hz vs 65hz cyclic anyway. I couldn't tell a difference in the 45 minutes I flew.

I'll just re-install my HS65MGs again. Those Ti gears are so sweet though.

We all know align is not top shelf product..but at the same time their not a slop outfit either. .....just need to wait for good/bad reviews to surface more I guess.

All my 615's seem to be very good quality and you don't see to much on the other forums of problems with the ones coming in kits other than the gears stripping just as easy or easier than the older ones (Something I was expecting them to fix). The old 10's were really bad when you have metal gear servos with one plastic gear and the plastic always survives

I have a HK450pro with Spek H3000s and a DS8910a and it is 'a lot better' than the 450v2 with the HS65/S9257
I mean I fly all the time, is $160 too much for three 450 cyclic servos? I've slogged thru every clone part/motor/servo there is, and I'd just like to have a premium heli..

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...s-Cyclic-Servo

I'm thinking I might not get much more satisfaction with these than the HS65s, and I was wondering if you've ever regretted buying high dollar servos for your heli.

This would be for the 450 Pro and the H3000s would go on the v2 Yes, First world problems.

My HS 65s are getting worn out also, I haven't bought one for a couple years. I've found and converted 6 from HB to MG over the past 2 years.

I should just have one sweet 450 helicopter? I have 3 very flyable ones: one for learning and crashing, one 6S for unbelievable stuff, and one nice one that I don't fly that often. Pretty crazy.

What should I do?
