I bet not. My frame on this one is a 17. I'm getting old, but not that old. My frame in collage was a 15. Not more than a BMX with 26in rims lol! The 29in rims are a blessing to the bike companies. You mean people have to change just about everything for the new fad. And the rims will bend if I just bang against a curb. lol! I am only 5' 7" on a good day!

Hurts my knees cuz I'm 40 something and no longer built like a rubber band in his 20s..

How's your 550 build coming along? Going to finish before your first born arrives ?

40 something.... Meh! This hobby make me feel old sometimes, must be the lack of exercise & extra beers I have been downing. Dont worry I'm, not too far behind you.

550 is slooooowlllly coming along. Just need the esc (shipped), cyclic & tail servo.. oh and a canopy.
500fbl is getting there to. Only needing the fbl gyro, tail servo & esc (shipped).

New born is due anytime from now up to Jan 15. So not far to go and only half the house is painted.

:(

Crashed the TT 500 today. The right side was facing me after coming down from altitude from a maneuver, and it rolled left into the ground. I pushed right aileron, and no response. So I have the suspicion that the TT inherently wants to crash, 3 flights after installing it after 40 or so with the belt. TT, boom, rear gears + main & feathering, battery mount and 6S 2650 bent at a 20 degree angle. I'll have 3 hours on the bench. What hurts was I had the Align blades instead of the RJX or TIG or $12 blades from wherever.

I'm looking at the BeastX after reading some scare stories on the ZYX, even though I've never had a problem 'per se' with the ZYX on a few 450s and a couple 500s. I've been wanting to try it out anyway. If it works for avoiding one crash, then it's worth it.

No luck with the ZYX quad, it flops around after a couple hours at the field after sliding gain and agility sliders up and down, then probably messing it up more with the advanced menu. I have no idea what I'm doing. It's all fun though, and all R/C problems can be solved with cash Merry Christmas everyone!

Sorry about the crash, but you are going down the same path I did. Using all the other gear and switching to the good stuff I am having issues with the vctrc gear

I've had some good hours with the ZYX and 450 and 500s, but maybe it's time to regulate them to the 450s for now.
It was a bad crash, and I'm calculating costs. This was supposed to be my go to heli for the next few months. It wasn't a brownout, I killed the throttle when the heli was inverted. I cut throttle and hit the mud 0.5 seconds later inverted and nose down with throttle off. The pinion was slowing down against the remains of the main gear. The cyclic links were still attached. No RX problems or BEC problems yet on this. I mean it could be something else, but who knows.

Heh I think trying out the ZYX on a quad brought me to the realization that life is too short to spend days to make certain cheap stuff work.

I guess they are updating the web sight and that is the issue. Makes sense to do it over the holidays. They are working to resolve my issues and say they did find a flaw. We will see. I would hate to send a over $1000 helicopter up with unreliable servos.

Mhill...i would hate to put a 500 dollar heli up with unreliable servos. Holding my breath because I still like the 550 rx ready combo they sell but it includes said servos.

Phoenix's helicopters are much closer to the real thing than Realflight though. But they're still not realistic.
