Yeah...I'm running a 2200 pack and only getting 3.5 to 4 mins.

I'm getting on a 1600KV motor 5m 2650 and 6m on a 3300 with a GoPro on the side.
My Motor dont like the 2650 at all as I come down Hot with that one.
This is doing allot of stationary video and My throttle curve at 85%.
I may try to find a better motor.
ether that or step up my game with a new ALIGN T-REX 800E DFC HV

I think they should have just enlarged the 450 platform and stayed with a plastic frame.

I'm using a standard mainshaft with the VWinRC head, is there a reason I should use the FBL shaft instead? It's only 5mm shorter and doesn't seem like it would make much difference. What about using a DFC shaft?

shaft size should not mater as long as your links can be adjusted that far. Moving the head closer will just improve the flip rate. Make sure those bearing on the belt are lubed and smooth. That is one place cheap bearings will fail first.

I love those tarot tail blades. I have three sets. The first ones cracked in a crash, but the second are on my 500pro balance is 100%. My third set is on my 500e airwolf.

No his 600mx is on the 600pro with 12s, but they make two different mx600's. One for 6s and one for 12. The 6 cell mx600 works great on the 550.

I've just purchased a HK500GT and was just wondering whether the "current" HK500GT kit supplied by Hobbyking still requires the Tail Rotor Holder assembly to be replaced with the TREX500 version? if so can the Tarrot500 tail rotor holder be also used. Or did Hobbyking correct this issue since it was first noted several years ago?

I recently purchased the Tarot tail belt assembly (after my metal HK broke) and would highly recommend this to anyone purchasing a heli from HK.
Mine works great.

I would replace the belt pulley bearings, you can get them at avidrc for $1 each and just get the nylon align tail blade hub and holders for $11. I did this to mine and it was 100% even after three crashes. So for a total of $13 you will be set. It's the same that just came on my 500e in the picture on the desk.
