Jeesh, I just took a look and most all my canopies are pretty generic. I'll fly em though, they don't look that bad.
I do have a couple genuine Align ones for 450 and 500, I don't see any reason to fly those. Maybe I'll include one if I sell a used Genuine Align Helicopter one of these years.

You know if you order that canopy from fusuno instead the price is the same, but they put your name on it. Of course you will be waiting 3-4 week lol!

Ya going to airbrush it ? .....Dave or anybody else that knows : I have this c.f tail boom on order. I'm curious if a crash were to take place, More likely to happen, the c.f tail boom gives first or the Plastic boom box ?? Both cost about the same, But inquiring minds wanna know. Just how strong are these c.f booms ?

You can't paint these as far as I know, they are the milk jug type of plastic. They sure are ugly though.

The CF boom breaks at the boom mount...My mount are aluminum though. Not sure if it would damage the plastic. The CF boom itself isn't very strong as it has pretty thin walls.

Yea the CF is not as strong as the boom holder. The larger helis have a mix of CF on the out side and aluminum on the inside to give the look of CF

Sitting here with the truck all loaded waiting to leave and fly the airwolf, but got stuck with the boy's and my youngest rock-crawler is on the charger. You think charging a pack takes long! this is taking longer than waiting for water to boil

I recently got the turnigy Mega 400W v2 and the 600W powersupply. Waiting for my first 6 cell packs, so not used it on 400W yet.
Pumping 20A in my 4x parallel 3s2200 hk450 packs sure is a quick way to dodge the wifes "periodic" mood-change and get some flights in.

The Powersupply was problematic with components broken off the PCB due to the abusive mailmans. Soldered everything back and it actually works!

Unlike the powersupply, the charger PCB is actually nice quality. No need to change anything except disconnect the small fan on the right.

Well, had a good run with 4 packs total so far with the 6S 450, I measured 3150rpm with the TIG blades. The blades are so quiet, I didn't realize it was that fast. The blades make a cool authoritative 'brrrr', that is about the same, but was much louder when I had fiberglass blades with a 4S heli.
So anyway, I apparently stripped the cheap EXI belt during a pirouette with some collective at about 80mph, bzz, then no tail. It was pretty amazing, no motor slowdown, and so quiet during full pitch.
Any suggestions for a good tail belt? It seems Mavrikk is not shipping 450 belts anymore, I only found one in stock at ReadyHeli. Is there a decent replacement for higher energy 450 helis, or will I have to go with a TT?

BTW Stixx, that's always how the CF tail boom separates from the boom block

Thanks mhills, I'll try a few of those. I don't think the belt was too loose, I run them a bit tighter (say 1/4 diameter deflection with reasonable force) than usual. Hmm. I guess I'm pushing the limits, but I have a new toy now..
