All my 450 links wore out at the same time. Tail servo gave out. Cyclic servos are getting sloppy too, will need to get some new gears or replace. Say like 300 flights.

It was pretty noisy in flight, I'll replace the usual bearings.

Should I replace the gears on the HS-65MG, get new HS-65MGs, or get some Savox Ti servos or something.

Also took a baby step for 6S 450 and ordered a NTN motor and a couple 6S 1300mah packs.



Lookit mah new truck! I'm sure it'll drive good, till I take it off jumps or crash into things and such.

I would just try the links first and also check your swash for play.

Swash is good. I have all the new links on and the play is quite a bit better.
As far as the servos, compared to a new HS-65mg, there is more play. Maybe I'll just order a few sets of gears for later.

When it rains, it pours.. I flew 4 packs on the rebuilt 450, and as I was lifting off with the fifth, the tail grip bolt broke. I was able to land on the skids thankfully.
New tail hub, slider, tail shaft, belt, KBDD tail blades. I couldn't find the grip/blade as I wasn't paying attention to where it landed. Looked around for 15 minutes.

Also one of the main shaft bearings in the new 500GT started making noise. NP there, also got a new set of Align bearings for it.

The truck ran good though

Anyone using the HB800 3 axis gyro on their 500 yet?

I bought one for mine, but put it on my 450pro to test it and fell in love lol! I don't want to take it off. My 450 never flew so well. Sense then I decided to put my 500e in a fuse and plan to make the front wheel steerable. I am fortunate two have two of the best scale builders here in town. One is a rep for vario and the other use to be a century rep. and they said to make it able to taxi I should keep it FB. So for now it will just stay in the 450.

Funny about that 500e on ebay at $227 now. when one can "buy" them at $210 or best offer w /free shipping .http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Align-T-...item4abbc2af11 ..Do ppl not know how to work e-bay..ha ....So why keep your 500e fb in order to taxi Mhills rather then fbl ? what would be the diff. ?

I don't really know? I think it may have something to do with the gyro thinking you want to tilt forward when you just want it to go forward. Maybe a recipe for instant flip upon take off.

Ahhhhh.... ( fbl noob here ) But that makes good sense from my understanding of how the system works. Was thinking that so many scale builds are fbl...But then again, Not many that can taxi down a runway..-Good advice-.....Side note..I just got in from flying a couple packs in my 500e And notice I can hear a very slight screeching..Could be wrong but I'm thinking its coming from a bad bearing in my Align 500mx...Kinda sucks seeing how i have less then 50 flights on this motor..Supposable a maintenance free motor..Any ideas or links ?

A lot of people seem to like the ceramic bearings for the motor. I already have the front one for when it go's. Helifreak has a great post on how to replace them. Wow took a long time to find. http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?...acement&page=3

Also I know they made a upgrade to the motor to make it last longer. I think some spacers between the shaft and bearing. So if you got a older one about 50 flights seems the norm. People with the "upgrade" seem to run much longer.
