I have done it twice and still have no success. Closes was my 530 and the tail servo only lasted a minute in the air. Both flew great before going into the body.

I had that exact tail and it was a p.o.s. lol! made poorly flashing everywhere, idle wheels out of round really bad! Here are some pics, The metal gear set up is what I will end up using. As you can see I went as far as I could with the Heliartist set up and ended up giving up on it.

Hmmmmm....was this kit from heliartist also from 3-4 years ago ? Im just wondering if the quality of parts have been improved. Also wondering if the rcareodyne kit i purchased will be of better quality of heliartist. ( im kinda thinking it will be the same) ..Worse case senario browse Ebay if mine should be a headache. --------what is the fuse you have in the last pic ? I like it..break out the airbrush kit And do a nice NFL team logo.

No that was this past winter. I think it's the other way around. If it was three or four years ago the quality was good. My Heliartist tail came from Flying hobbies. The Last is a CH-53 I put together years ago using a electric tail. It was a drkdarth kit. I cut it to install the mech. tail.

And on the artist kit the plastic boom mounts would not tighten down on the stock tubes that is why I was trying to find some metal to replace them.

You guys were talking about the scale raised tail problems. Would I have similar problems putting a HK500 into this fuse? I've never owned a scale fuse. Would it be a lot of work? The price is right. Just needs paint.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale stixx!

Otherwise, I'd probably build something like this http://www.scaleflying.com/MD500D-Li...ze_p_1219.html Kinda bare bones though. I really don't want to spend $400-500 on a fuselage.

Any comments on the UH-1 fuselage mhills? Thanks much.

I am not
Shopping cart abandoned. Thanks again sir!

I would buy it for later, but I have too many projects and not enough space. I'll think about a scale project a year or two from now.

No, but I have heard it's hit and miss. Some people love them and some have nothing good to say about them. So we will look forward to your reviews!

Get any flying in today? I went out and don't know what it is about people around. I flipped my pro right in front of me, had it in a great hover and went to flip it back and flipped the wrong direction. Ended up on top of my head, but lucky when I flipped it it was facing me so when it got flipped back around it was headed back out over the field. I told one of the guys that flying in front of him makes me nervous, but then he said you think I make you nervous. Last week after I got finished flying at ircha I turned around and waiting to fly behind me was Alan Szabo who said "Nice flying!"

Well good to hear you did not crash your pro..wheeeeewww....wife and I went to local park today. took the 450 and 500e, basically to say goodbye to it in its pod and boom form..( such a great flyer)...only have two battery's for this 500. ( hence the buy) ...about ppl around. I don't fly as smooth when I know I have spectators watching. So I keep it pretty basic when I do..ha.....about pulse batteries. Know they have been out now for a couple years but I just never hear of anyone talk about em..they have pulse plus out now ( green ) only a lil more then what I like to pay for a 500 battery.

Yea when the guy at the field told me about ircha I said, " and that makes me feel any better about flying in front of YOU!"

I almost pulled the trigger on my fuse, but ended up spending $162 on dinner for our 15th wed anniversary. I told her no diamonds you just ate them.
