This was running at 5V 71Hz. A cyclic application would probably have stopped working also.

No offense, just trying to make a point. I'm done with the HK servos. Except for airplanes. The Tower/HXT900 has been pretty dang good, plus some of the MG 3D aircraft servos for 48".
with all the servo's you have been through, parts in crash's caused by them and downtime rebuilding etc.. you could have save yourself the hassels and got a Futaba.

I got up early, and had an hour to kill, so I installed the servo. I mean, what were the chances of it failing with slow waggy performance and cool running? This isn't my go-to heli, so no big loss. I didn't want to spend another $70 on it for a good servo, but wanted to fly it.

Yeah, so now my EXI 450 is on the shelf for quite a while.

You do get that.

My 450 is just sitting there waiting for parts for over 3 weeks now. and I only just did a full rebuild 8 flights ago.

I'm so thinking of ditching the 450 for another 500 as they are easier to work on & fly + I can have one set of stocked parts for 2 heli.

Align Ds520...( no step down required) .however I did have one burn out on me a couple weeks ago...ha...but I still recommend em. also the JR3400g..a tad slow, but great for sport flight.

Sorry for all the newby posts! I'll report back later sometime I guess. If you look at my page, I've posted the most here but am still a newb. Ugh, sorry about that. I'll go get beat up on HF for a while and come back.

Never apologize for asking questions my friend. We all started somewhere. I personally have been flying over 30 years and I continue learning new stuff every day. I very much doubt anybody on here will flame you for trying to learn something new.

Oh how so so true Paul. No one never stops learning and if you think you know it all... well good luck to you.

eagle777 - have a troll through my post. I still ask basic newbie questions that some would think is silly, but once I get that answer and understand the deal... I'm a real winner.

I know what you mean. Everyone has a big head and has to be a thread starter. Because of that If you have a problem and the right people don't come on and answer right away. Your post is already gone.
