Maybe there is something wrong then, your gear should not of had a issue. I am running a 1750kv with the stock gear and just about any of the write ups on the turnigy motors say they are less than they are rated. I'm running 3200 head speed on the pro with the MX motor.
With what you are running at 1800kv and 12t you are only looking at 2663 head speed at 90% without a load. Not that fast a little on the low side for hard 3D On my HK500 the main gear is the only one I never changed and it survived at least four crashes. |

The Spring S3481 looks great, did you try them out already? Really smooth, like Align/Savox? I can't seem to find much first hand information. Has anyone had experience with goodluckbuy.com? I think a couple people at the field have bought quad frames from them. Free shipping for the Spring servos... http://www.goodluckbuy.com/sm-s3481m...tal-servo.html Thanks much. I got the YEP 100A today also. It's smaller than I thought it would be and fits under the battery tray easily. |

The metal gears go for about $125-135 ebay
The springs worked great. I did do a lot of research on them even as far as contacting the company in china to find the Hz limit of 300. One reason some people complained about them burning up. Some of your cheaper electronic set digital to 333. with the beast and others like it you can set your own. I had the beast set to 200 head and 280 tail. After my really bad crash I had already won three more of the aligns so I put them in. They all still worked except for the tail. My 500e still has the spring 3471 on its tail and holds 100% and is never hot. the Futaba 401 runs at 270Hz |

I was thinking the max on the zyx was 165Hz on cyclic anyway. The beast max is 200 cyclic.

Hmm, I always like to test it out myself.
One thing I noticed is when the tail and swash were both at 1520u digital, the rudder duty cycle was at around 60%. I didn't understand this, and won't remark on it, except to say I observed it. Anyway, I'll get the Spring servos Thanks mhills!

Something don't sound right. It should not be coming close. Do you think your oneway may have slipped. Adjusting the collar will just add unwanted slop. I would take it out and see if your one way is level with the top of the gear after you remove the one way bearing shaft.
