Hey Boogie , I like your F100 , is that a kit or your own build ? (tell us a little about it)
Thanks Earl. It's a scratch build from some enlarged Comet plans.
HET 6904/2w-20/4s 4000mAH batts

It's the workhorse of my fleet, gotta have way over 200 flights by now.
Check out my blog for build photos & flight video.

After seeing yours I can definately understand why you do not prefer my color scheme at all. That is something I like about these flyfly/HTG jets though.....I can put a scale camo scheme on them and they are still large enough for me to see and fly.
I am doing panel line details on mine now and almost done....more pics soon
Next will be the flyfly MIG29. That one is gonna be fun

You doing great job detailing your model tho I'm trying to be more practical as I have learned over the years that the more work you put into it the more sorry you feel when they go in which happens sooner or later, lets be realistic.
Talking about "Twentyniner", I finished mine just about year ago with lot of my own mods, done only 30 flights but still going strong. Another heavy model at almost 10 pounds but vertical with my upgrades so lot of strengthening went to the landing gear, Joe.

I plan on using the eflite 25-46 size metal electric gear in my MIG. Haven't decided on motors yet but definately wemo fans....full glass and a paint scheme very similair to yours. You speak the truth....some of em don't last long huh?

Hi, I gave up on retracts in these foamies and sticking with fixed gear. No idea how good the above are in the 10 pound model flying off the grass but like to hear how you'll go. I tried few different brands but wouldn't install them in anything over 6-7 pounds. Even my well upgraded 'Springairs' in my Starmax F16 need lot of maintenance more less after every flight. The leverage is much too high and unless someone designs new concept incorporating some solid bracing as a support I find them waste of time, Joe.

Jofro,
I thought this was the FLY FLY F-100 thread?
Maybe you can join a Mig-29 thread?

I used them in my LX A-10. Excellent choice a bit heavy but work every time. Good ply mounts are the key.

These 25 - 46 size are all metal and will hold a 10 Lb model no problem. Grass runways almost always present their own issues of course. I thankfully fly from a fully paved runway.
I looked for a flyfly MIG29 thread and couldn't seem to find one myself....
Maybe someone else has a link?

yep good mounts insure many succesful retracts

Your camo looks lot better with the light on it! Good luck flying it, Joe.
