Ha... I asked that question exactly right after I filled the "holes" originally reserved for the elevator servos... If you get the CG at 280mm from leading edge at root of wing, then the elevator neutral position is right at the center of the elevator servos. I believe that's exactly what the manual says, too. Mine lifted off the ground very nicely, and didn't require much elevator trimming that way.

Several times through this thread it was recommended to move it back to 280mm. I realize it takes tail weight, but I did follow this recommendation, and the takeoff was really sweet. I would really recommend you move it back to 280mm...

280mm will fly much better than 265mm. You will notice mostly during any banked turns, take off and landing.

guna have to add weight to the tail like you ysolomon as my esc is just after the battery tray so cannot push it further

StyroSpray done on the fuselage and rudder today. No doubt--I learned much from my experience with the wings. Three thin coats this time. When I did the wing, I used 10-11 fl oz of the mixture. On the entire fuselage and vertical fin I only used 4 fl oz. As a result, the only "weight gain" was 0.34 lb. No drip marks, and nothing on my hands... So I'm just at 10lb now. I will sand down a little (more on the wings), and then prime it. After priming, I will put this plane back together and re-maiden it, before I spend quality time with air brushes... Note the manual rotisserie I improvised...

Thats where I set mine according to the manual and had to add a couple of up clicks but I'm also a little nose heavy

Check out my elevator servo installation: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...4#post22389368 that allowed me to carve room for the weight installation http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=1856, which you want to be as aft as possible. I used steel bars I bought at the local hardware store.

At this point it feels like I added less than one pound of StyroSpray to the wing, and less than 0.4lb to the fuselage. However, I sanded the wing a lot, so I would guess that I ended up adding about 1lb in SS overall. I'll let you know once I measure again. I did add the lighting system, though. I still hope to be under (or close to) 10lb AUW.

But if you were asking is how much weight did I add in the tail, then I believe it was 170g total.

maybe i'm guna wait before spraying her,did you use the lander lighting and afterburner?that's what i'm guna use in mine,sorting that steering wheel hopefully today and i'm gud,i also needed the tail weight too
