It's been windy in Indiana all summer but that hasn't deterred me I used this plane for a candy drop in september while it was 17mph gusting to 21mph. Everything went pretty smooth but it was kind of tough to keep the kids in a safe area until after the candy was dropped.

I have also just started a 75% build(parts are cut and ready for gluing) and after reading through the posts seems most are using 5 or 6 mm on wing and some are also going with 3 mm on the LE and TE to protect from rubber bands , 5 or 6mm on the horizontal and vertical stabs(rear) and 5 or 6mm on the hold downs, really just depends on how stiff you want your wing by the look of it. some guys are also using KEVLAR thread on the vert stab to stiffen (Thanks BirdOfPlay), you can view all attachments of this thread from the first page, best way to pick up all sorts of ideas , hope this helps.....

Have some ideas I have been working on for this, will gladly share them if and when they work correctly.

Thanks F&T for the idea, thanks Larry for the Plans... GREAT JOB!

INCLUDING myself there have been several FUSE crunches lately.

So, on a request from a customer,
I have created a Fuse Only offering of the 100% sized The Twins for $40 Plus shipping.

I may rework the wing sheets to be Wings only for those wanting wings only.

Happy Holidays,

the kind of math your looking for is probly not here.

you should buy a gyro and a few motor and just try messing with it. a kk board is what FnT used, IIRC

The guys in the QTR thread, a VTO version of the TWINS , might be better help.

It's a The TWINS made for Quad motor VTO.

I CNC those as well.

I've seen that thread Bob and the plane or quad or whatever you want to call it is really cool. Right now I'm kinda glad in a way that winter is here so maybe I'll stay indoors a bit more and not crash a plane or quad for a while. I haven't even started building a twin yet. I plan to as soon as I finish my Sea BB42" plane. I have two motors leftover from the giant F-15 and F-22. These are big motors so it should make for a large twin. I hope. I'm up in KY at the moment so build will have to wait.

Well the Giant F-15 had a wing come off in flight. Half of the right wing broke off. I managed to get it back on the ground without crashing it. But it now needs to be completely rebuilt. The F-22 wasn't quite so lucky. Lets just say at least the motor still works. Besides I have a really bad case of the quad bug.

Shoulda asked yesterday.

Relative from Dayton was here for Xmas.

Oh well, Not sure of exact cost but it'll be lots cheaper than from WA State.

I have one I made for stock and I'll hold it for a Dayton Customer :-).

USPS says ~$5.25 + insurance ( probably a coupla bucks more )

I hope the roads are better by Friday as I am OUT of shipping boxes
if anyone else gets serious b$ then.

Well, 1st come 1st served.

Anyone else will have to wait until I get more shipping boxes.
That will depend on the Roads as they STILL have not cleaned up things
very well around here.

Regardless , DEFINITELY by early next week., fer sure.
