Indoor Flying at Madjeski In Reading Berkshire
Reading and District Model Aircraft Club
Indoor flying dates at the Madesjki Dome 2009- 2010. The following dates and times are confirmed for the Dome indoor flying sessions. There are two dates which need to be considered and confirmed. If you plan to attend the November meeting please email me with your preferred time otherwise I will choose. For those of you have not flown indoors at the Dome. Here is a brief description and a photo. The Dome is basically a large frame tent! It is 60metres long and 40metres wide and about 12metres high at the ridge. Lighting is adequate and the floor is covered with a type of Astroturf which is kind both to the feet and to models and propellers. ROG is no problem. There is no heating so warm clothing is necessary during cold spells during the winter. Mains power is limited bring own batteries for charging After very careful consideration the fee for 2009-10 will be £8.00 per session, this should allow us to cover the cost of hiring the Dome with an average attendance of just under 30 per session over the course of the season. Proof of insurance will be required at the first session of the year and again at either the January or February meeting. Some scenes from one of last years meetings. Photos courtesy David Belcher 24th Oct 3.00 – 6. .00 5th Dec 3.00 – 6.00 14th Nov from 1:30 to 4:30 16th Jan 2.00 – 5.00 6th Mar 2.00 – 5.00 20th Mar 2.00 – 5.00 Dates in bold are confirmed others subject to confirmation. Please fell free to Pm me for any more details and note that Proof of insurance must be shown Thank you Last edited by ghost2212; Oct 30, 2009 at 07:57 PM. Reason: Updating |

New date announced
14 Nov from 1:30 to 4:30. contrary to previous info Reading FC do not have a home fixture so access should be OK. For those who would use the A33 an alternative might be wise. The A340 to Aldermaston and then A4 to Berkeley Ave then Rose Kiln lane may be better.
Thanks there is roadworks on the A33 |
