I will be happy if I can get the battery in the fuse.

At that point I will figure out how to fasten it. I'll either get it tomorrow or Monday.....

Watching this also I just got a used Viper and having trouble with getting batt to fit also.

That will be Great! have been flying on the 3S 2200 as that is all I could get to fit. I may have my esc leads to long and in the way do you run short or long esc leads?

I run long leads, but that is part of the problem.

I will be watching closely on a solution that you may have I really want to run a 5S set up on this.

I have 2 brand new Hypren 4S and 5S packs the 4S fits but can not hook up the leads and the 5S will not even fit it, I think they are 50C

Looks like there are some newcomers to this thread, so I'll post another pic of my 5S setup. It's real easy to put 5S in the Viper if you go 2s +3s. Those are 2250 65C ThunderPower. PLENTY of room for the batteries and all the wiring.

Couple questions, did you solder the leads from the motor directly to the esc?

What prop are you running with that set up?

At this time I have the Gruapner 4.7 X 4.7 speed props, should I change props for this set up?

Battery came in today. Not only does it fit in the Viper, It fits with ease, no squeezing!!! The actual dimensions are 100x33x38mm. Unbelievable.

This pack is 5S 2250mah 50C

Let's hope it performs!!

Here is the scoop....

Maxamps.com. You pick the cells and mah pack and they build it for you. The cool thing is, you can tell them where you want your battery leads exiting from. If you look at the pics, you can see that I had the leads coming out of the top of the pack. This allows me to shorten the wires, plug in the pack and place the battery in the fuse without any wires on the side.

Note: When you have the pack built you can make these modifications as well as select what kind of plugs and balance taps. As seen in the pics, I chose no plugs, because I know I am going to cut them short.


The weather here is crap, but I will report how the packs handles

The only bad thing is:

Well.... I think i get 3-4 GENS ace 2200mah 5s packs for that price..

But I agree, nice dimensions, I hope the pack delivers good.

Motor leads soldered directly to ESC.

Running 5.25 x 6.25 (posted a few times in thread my complete setup).

I've only run the prop mentioned. I have read somewhere earlier in this thread that, for reduced speeds you could prop down, but I forgt the size. Maybe 5.0 x 5.0?
