I am new to RC and I was planning to buy a simulator. I have to decide between either

Dynam RC Tech 6-Channel USB R/C Airplane/Helicopter Flight Simulator with FMS Software (Mode 2)

Any body has done comparision of both? I will be using it for both Heli and AIR.

Please don't suggest any expensive ones. This is the max I want to spend before beginning flying.

I've used both just recently. No reason to pick one over the other except for price. Better prices here:

I'm the head flight instructor at our RC club and keep one or the other on hand for my new students to purchase if they want, since no local hobby shops will carry them. No margin for them. I just sell them to new and prospective students, if they want them, for my actual cost to get them here.

So far I've purchased two of the E-sky and two of the Dynam. I've got one Dynam left for a new student pilot.

Thanks Ken, I will go ahead and order Dynam as its cheaper and has more channels.

The extra channels don't really matter with the FMS sim. It is a four channel sim, as far as I can tell, but, as you say, the Dynam is a bit cheaper. Odd thing was when I ordered 2 of the E-Sky the shipping was $10 and change and for 2 of the Dynam $12 and change. I guess the Dynam are in a slightly larger box. ;-)

I purchased one of the E-Sky 4 CH and it works great. Learned allot using it but now I wish I had made the investment in a 6 or 8 channel version.

I may not use it with FMS at all

Hey all,

I'm considering buying the Dynam 6 channel controller (mode 2) but I'd like to use it with other simulators such as aerofly & phoenix rather than FMS.

Does anyone know if it is compatible with those?

Yup, I tested it with all possible ones, and its compatible and better than esky because it has 6 channels. You can use it for flaps/landing gear etc.

But I brought a licensed flight sim and Iam using it. Because the authors deserve the money.

so overall these are both equal? Aren't the included software the same for either simulator?

What helicopters does the dynam have?
